Powdery scab situation
Powdery scab may be locally a minor but increasing problem but mop-top virus
was much more important for the potato industry.
Today no statistics exists about the importance of the Furovirus.but it still seems to be one of the most important potato virus.(Lars Bødker, Seges Innovation)
Research
Work has been done on biocontrol of Sss with Trichoderma harzinum isolates (Nielsen and Larsen, 2004). There is no ongoing research today..
