Powdery scab situation
Powdery scab may have only local importance, depending on the weather.
Research
A bigger problem plays/has played the pathogen Spongospora for the breeding companies. They used peat substrate for the minituber production which was contaminated with Spongospora cystosori. The source of this contamination has never been found.
