Powdery scab situation

In the 80's powdery scab was found to be a problem on seed potatoes from the hilly regions. As field experiments showed that the disease can't establish in main potato production area in the lowlands of Punjab (warmer climate)it wasn't considered as a problem anymore. The varieties used are mostly breeded in India and there is very little seed import.
